We are currently living through COVID-19 and the unprecedented changed living conditions of Personal Distancing (sometimes call Social Distancing), and an enhanced focus on our personal hygiene habits for fear of contracting and/or passing on the virus. This has impacted on how we work, how we socialise, how we shop, exercise, entertain - almost every single aspect of our lives. In my practice, this has led to many clients being deeply affected by the loss of regular meaningful and happenstance contact with people.
For those who are continuing to restrict their contact with people, I am using Coviu for Video TeleHealth. With Coviu there is no need for additional software. Any Smart device and computer can be used. You will be provided with a link for each session. To begin the session, just clink on the link and it will open in your browser. If using Coviu, please be mindful of the following: internet speed, who and what is in the room (or can hear - for your privacy), and that video calling will consume significant data.
I am also seeing clients in person at the practice Monday through to Friday again.
The 2020 Budget has also seen Medicare supported psychology services increased from 10 to 20 per calendar year. This is likely to be very good news for a lot of clients who have been rationing their sessions through the year. If you have already used the 10 sessions for 2020, depending on your circumstance you may or may not need a review letter. Please contact me to discuss this, or your GP.
For more information please do not hesitate to contact to discuss your concerns.
